Our Club’s annual highlight is the Open Garden day on Easter Monday, where our profits support local groups and charities.
HOT off the Press!
Our Garden Club was nominated for the Event of the Year in the Australia day awards, which was won by the Balloon Glow - Congratulations to them on an amazing event. The award was split, and our Club won the Group of the Year. Congratulations to members who work so hard to make the Open Gardens event a success.
Come & Visit us
We’d love you and your friends to visit us on Easter Monday (22/4/19) for our Open Garden Day — create some lovely memories while you unwind in our wonderfully productive irrigation area.
Despite the HOT weather, we have six gardens open for your enjoyment, inspiration and inspection - as gardeners, you will appreciate how our amazing gardeners have managed their gardens throughout the hot and trying weather. Each year, we have six different gardens, kindly opened by their owners for your pleasure and appreciation.
These gardens are “their owner’s gardens”, so they are gardens that their owners can cope with; or that reflect their lifestyle; the time they can spend in them; how they like to relax; and the plants they are currently experimenting with, or just love!
Whether a new or established garden, small or large, you are invited to relax in them; share the colour, perfume, design, plants, trees, structure or shapes with friends; be inspired by the whimsical and practical; take new ideas home; speak with the owners, cross-pollinate your experience; and most importantly, enjoy the day!
Guest Speaker & Stalls
Check out the clever, cute and beautiful craft/garden art stalls which add interest and dimension. Again this year, we welcome Adrian Podmore as our guest to impart his wealth of gardening knowledge.

Tickets, Food & Music
Tickets are available at the Visitors Centre ($20 or $5 per garden) from 9.30am on the day (and the week prior), as well as at the gardens. Morning tea is included in the full ticket. A garden lunch is available for $8.00; water & soft-drinks will be available all day at the lunch & venues where Adrian Podmore is speaking. An additional tea/slice pack is $5 (for single ticket-holders).
Our visitors love the ambience of enjoying morning tea whilst taking in "Professor" Podmore's great garden humour; or lunching with friends while listening to our “Eleventh Tenor”, John Martin’s solo serenades and the Town Band’s orchestral melodies.
We’d really appreciate you coming, as not only can you enjoy the day, it helps charities in our town, and for that, we thank you, as we do our generous sponsors. Please patronize them as much as possible, as they are an integral part of the success of this event. We also provide Can Assist with a raffle which is drawn on the day - winners can choose at which of our sponsors they'd like to have a little spending spree! Good luck everyone!
