This year, once again, we are having a “Pop-Up Open Gardens” event,
providing COVID rules allow.
ie, we are planning to run with a COVID-safe event. It’s full steam ahead at the moment.
We are planning to run our event, with not as much fan-fare, but a full hand of gardens at the time of writing this.
Our Open Gardens are “their owner’s gardens”, so they are gardens that their owners can cope with; or that reflect their lifestyle; the time they can spend in them; how they like to relax; and the plants they are currently experimenting with, or just love!
Whether a new or established garden, small or large, you are invited to relax in them; share the colour, perfume, design, plants, trees, structure or shapes with friends; be inspired by the whimsical and practical; take new ideas home; speak with the owners, cross-pollinate your experience; and most importantly, enjoy the day!
We’d love you and your friends to visit us on Easter Monday to enjoy some lovely gardens and have morning tea with friends. We invite you to create some fun memories while you unwind in our wonderfully productive irrigation area.
Tickets ($20) this year will ONLY be available ON THE DAY, from the gardens. The FIRST GARDEN is on Block Road. Flags and directions will be out from the junction of CORBIE HILL ROAD and the Leeton/Narrandera Road on the day. Morning tea (Devonshire) will be catered for $5, and the event will run from 10am until 2pm.
Payment: There will be NO EFTPOS facilities so please bring cash.
Entry is $20 and includes access to 4-6 gardens as well as our yummy Devonshire morning tea. We will be running a raffle for CanAssist, and may have some other little things going on, such as our ever-popular Plant Stall.
We are ever-mindful of perhaps being shut down again, so lunch will not be catered, and there will be no stalls, although our wonderful Town Band will be playing on the day – always a popular place to sit awhile! One of our sponsors, Lillypilly Wines might be setting up for some tasting too. We thank you for your consideration and assistance.
NB: There will be NO ticket sales at the Visitor’s Centre this year. Tickets are available at the first garden, or at any garden gate – it’s $5 if you are looking at individual gardens.
Lunch will also not be catered this year (but Emily at The Coffee Tree will be open for lunches.)
Coffee: Available at the first garden – see Nadine at the “How Ya Bean” van.
Date: Easter Monday, 18th April 2022
Time: 10.00am to 2.00pm
Directions: Flags out at CORBIE HILL ROAD and Leeton/Narrandera Road Junction on the day; tickets and maps available from any garden. Look for our hot pink tents denoting an open garden if you’re just driving around!
Tickets: Only Available on the day from any garden. Not available at the Visitors Centre.
Public toilets will be marked on maps or gate handouts.
Regretfully, there will be no stalls (unless a couple “pop up”), no John Martin singing, and no “Professor” Adrian Podmore answering our questions. Sponsorship will be slightly different as well, so please support our wonderful sponsors by shopping with them (see below). We have scaled down in case it has to be cancelled once more. We will be having a raffle for CanAssist, and possibly some other things going on.
However, our wonderful Town Band is “popping in” to entertain us and one of our regular sponsors Lillypilly Wines, may be providing some wine tasting!
Please visit our regular sponsors, as we really appreciate them when we run our regular event. Open Monday are Lillypilly Wines, Riverina Wildflowers, and the Golden Apple Supermarket & Garden Centre.
Our other regular sponsors who we’d love you to do business with should the opportunity arise are: Leeton Toyota; Mitre 10 (which also has a garden centre); Amato Real Estate; Beyond Bank; Thinkwater Leeton; Leeton Steel; and Eurells of Leeton & Narrandera.
