This year, we are having a “Pop-Up Open Gardens” event, providing COVID rules allow.
ie, we are planning to ‘pop up’ with a COVID-safe event if we can.
[This event is now over – information retained for the record. See you next year!]
This year, to help with Covid management, fast sign-in and catering, we are asking you to book (no cost) here (see Tickets tab for a more detailed explanation). Payment will then be made at the gardens on the day.
Our Open Gardens are “their owner’s gardens”, so they are gardens that their owners can cope with; or that reflect their lifestyle; the time they can spend in them; how they like to relax; and the plants they are currently experimenting with, or just love!
Whether a new or established garden, small or large, you are invited to relax in them; share the colour, perfume, design, plants, trees, structure or shapes with friends; be inspired by the whimsical and practical; take new ideas home; speak with the owners, cross-pollinate your experience; and most importantly, enjoy the day!
We’d love you and your friends to visit us on Easter Monday to enjoy some lovely gardens and have morning tea with friends. We invite you to create some fun memories while you unwind in our wonderfully productive irrigation area.
This year, to help with Covid management, expedite sign-in time and help with catering, we’re asking those with internet access to please reserve your ticket online at no cost to you. It will mean no details have to be entered at the sign-in point, thus expediting entry.
Payment will then be made at the gardens on the day.
Entry is $20 and includes access to 4 gardens as well as our yummy Devonshire morning tea and free lucky gate tickets. Payment will ONLY be taken at gardens on the day. Obviously, if the event has to be cancelled as it was last year, we do not want the burden of returning funds.
We reiterate: booking will help you to sign in much faster, and ensure that we cater adequately for those coming. It will also help us with covid-safe management. We thank you for your consideration and assistance.
NB: There will be NO ticket sales at the Visitor’s Centre this year. Tickets & payment are available at ALL gardens if you haven’t booked. Directions to main morning tea garden from Brobenah Road shop on Monday. Lunch will also not be catered this year (but there is a cafe open in town – details in your garden brochure).
NB: Ticket bookings will close off at 5pm Easter Sunday, 4th April 2021.
Regretfully, there will be no stalls or John Martin singing, and no “Professor” Adrian Podmore answering our questions. Neither have we sought sponsorship from our wonderful sponsors this year. We have scaled right down in case it has to be cancelled once more. We are not having a raffle for CanAssist, but depending on the event, if we are able, we will still make donations to local groups and charities as we love to do.
However, our wonderful Town Band is now “popping up” to entertain us and there may even be some other music popping up! To top the day off, one of our our regular sponsors Lillypilly Wines, will be providing wine tasting!
Please visit our regular sponsors, as we really appreciate them when we run our regular event. Open Monday are Lillypilly Wines, Riverina Wildflowers, and the Golden Apple Supermarket & Garden Centre.
Our other regular sponsors who we’d love you to do business with should the opportunity arise are: Leeton Toyota; Mitre 10 (which also has a garden centre); Amato Real Estate; Beyond Bank; Thinkwater Leeton; Leeton Steel; and Eurells of Leeton & Narrandera.
